Smartphones are equipped with lots of sensors that are utilized by the track monitoring app, which can easily be used in every revenue train with no special equipment. The smartphone is placed in the driver’s cab and records data continuously during normal operation. As a result, tracks don’t need to be closed.
The collected track data is sent by the app to Railigent® from Siemens Mobility Rail Services, where it’s analyzed to detect anomalies in the infrastructure and to determine the ride comfort. You will receive the results rapidly within a separate Railigent application (not part of the mobile application) and you can prepare your maintenance activities and increase passenger satisfaction.
